Is that daily cup of coffee contributing to the decline of the coral reefs?

An interesting article came my way through an email from one of research news groups I am subscribed to. Thought it might spark some discussion. The actual research publication does not appear to be coming out until later this year (though it is available online now) but here is the synopsis of the research:

That's a very interesting article. We produce so much waste that we can't even imagine to think that something like our caffiene consumption could possibly have an impact downstream ... no pund intended

It will be interesting to see if there's more information when the publication comes out and see if it spurs more research from larger groups.
