I have a JBJ 28 with zoa's and softies. I was going to add more water movement and it was suggested that I add a pump of about 300 gallons per hour. When I ordered a new pump I inadvertently order a 530 gph pump. Is this going to be too much for my tank. I can return and get a 250 gph if needed.

If you have no power heads and are using the return pump as flow for your tank you might be under the recommendation. I have a 20 gallon that has 538 gph in total flow. So no the new pump isn’t to much flow

I’m my nuvo 20 , I have 3 power heads and 1 return pump. Koralia nano 240 and 425. And a IM wave maker . I still think I need more lol. I might need to tone it down a bit so my fish can sleep at night.
