That rock scape on the drop off is awesome man!!! Is that a flow pump built into the stand and tank on the drop off, or just an Ecotech stuck on from below? Also, how do you clean the drop off? It's so deep!

Thanks for all comment [emoji16]
Ya drop off back I just put one mp10 that just blow everything up to the top and the drop off floor always clean and strong wave. Just mistake I put mp10 on a 12mm glass and the mp10 keep dropping off until I gotta stick a double sided tape on the dry side of the mp10 to the wall of it

Oh ya here another right side view when I'm sitting on my sofa [emoji16]

Sad to look at my unfinished cabinet. Carpenter just don't want pickup my call to finished up the cabinet
Originally plan is open a viewing square on the door to be able to view the bottom tank.

Here's a closer pic of the tank in the sump

Since this is custom build and a lot of shop decline to do it.
And finally one day found a old uncle glass maker that willing to take this challenge since no one ever build this in my area.
Old uncle. Draw and show the picture to him also don't understand at all so no choice I have to build one miniature cardboard tank show him

Build one miniature cardboard sump to show the glassmaker
I dont mean to sound nasty , but i just cannot see the point of a drop off tank. If it was a drop off , of a couple of feet or so so the depth could go from say 20 inches to four foor with a vertical wall of rock then maybe, but for a few inches , I just dont get it , sorry

It is not all about practicality. It is visual aesthetics, trying something different, keeping it interesting. I love it though I dont know if my arms are long enough for the drop of practically speaking but that doesnt mean it isnt super cool. I'm sure if money and space was not an issue one could do that. Plus I love builds because they give me ideas of what I may or may not want in the future. Great tank

+1 to Rich's comment. It's about having something the Reefer finds aesthetically pleasing in their home. The tank itself is a piece of artwork, not just what you're keeping inside of it! I have a drop-off myself, and it's my favorite out of all the tanks I've kept!:)

Hi stevieduk, it's OK that you don't get it. We were looking to try something no one has ever done before (at least in Malaysia), yet something interesting that would fit into our tiny apartment. It actually occupies almost 1/4 of our living room. I guess we kinda max out the space in our hall with the built of this tank. Most importantly, we're happy with the end result of this massive tank (it was a massive tank for us since the glassmaker had to assemble the tank on site).

Thank you rich nyc, hahaha I'm not sure what I'd do if anything falls into the drop off area where I don't want it to go. I'll just use a long aquarium craw to clip up the corals or rocks.

Anyway here's the drop off close shot where the sand is pretty clean all the times and quite amaze that Yuma and starpolyp still able to open under a deep down 3.4ft. Drop off part only powered by a AI26HD LED.

this is an awesome tank.

What lights do you have currently and what params are you aiming for?

Thanks for your reply.
I'm running 2sets of AI52HD at the back while drop off part using 1pcs AI26HD.
Just recently added 2 tube ATI 54W Purple Plus
Planing to add in one more 52hd in future (when I got budgets)

Here's the lighting arrangement looks like. Sorry for ugly stands soon will get a new carpenter to make a nice top
