I have been posting a couple months now and thought i'd show off what i have. It is kinda a tank that developed from scraps and leftovers but now gets more of my attention then my indoor display.
i have about 40 different types of zoas and most are from browing lfs and trading w/ local reefers.
It is a 65 gal AGA w/ a rubbermaid sump, mag 7 for a return and octo nw150skimmer. the lighting consists of two leftover magnetic ballasts one 250 and one 175 both lit by hamilton 14k bulbs. I do not run any actinics.
The tank is outside on my patio and is never struck by direct sunlight. It is cooled w/ a large fan against the sump. I am in Miami so temps do run on the higher end 82-84 degrees. I do run the lights at a minimum around 6 hours and during the cooler parts of the afternoon/evening. Some may say why do it outside, because if I had any more aquarium stuff inside my wife would evict me.
Here are some pics.
