My fish, Harold is 39 years old now in 2018. I have had Harold and Maude since 1979 and I named them after a movie that was very popular at that time. I kept a very detailed hand-written diary of them since 1980 when they first started spawning and believe that they are the oldest documented clown fish. I have had their web site for about 25 years and I wrote about them in magazines as far back as 1982.

Please visit their site at http://69.39.232.74/~heartwor/haroldandmaude.html

My very first saltwater fish were a pair of black and white clowns. I had the pair along with a pair of regular clown in my 249 for many years, until the orange female died. Her mate quickly changed sexes and then killed the b&w female before i could remove either fish. Then paired up with the b&w male for many years. Sadly i lost both about 1.5 years ago when I lost a bunch of 20+ year old fist to what i belive was a bacterial infection. I just about quit the hobby then and would have except for the 5 fish that survived.
As best I recollect the male was around 27 years in my care and the female 25 years.

Mine is not old but I have her for almost 8 years now. she’s the queen of the harem. The male is probably 7 years in my tank.
