Hi all! I’m looking for some inspiration for my 36x24x18 tank. I’ve got about 100 pounds of a combination of shelf rock and larger pieces of dry rock. Thinking to break up the large pieces and super glue/mortar them into more interesting shapes. It will be a mixed reef, an upgrade for my current 20G with some LPS, euphyllia and softies. Picture below for reference of the rocks I’m dealing with:

I would love some inspiration! Thanks all!

This is mine currently. I tried to do a cave with the sides sort of ramping down toward the front glass with smaller and smaller rocks, then rubble for a zoa garden. I tried not to be symmetrical with it.

Looks great! Do you ever have trouble cleaning the sand in the cave?

Thank you. It is a new tank, so I haven't had to yet, but there seems to be a good bit of room to get a python in to me.
Nice, corals look awesome too. My main issue in my 20 gallon is that I cannot work around the rocks. Algae and detritus just build up...

I must have watched Ryan's NSA build 100 times! I built a lot of small shelves to place corals on. This custom is 105 gal, 44" x 31" x 18".
This is great! I watched his video over and over too. I tried an NSA for a 10 gallon I had to set up after my clowns started fighting. It went okay, it ended up breaking apart though. I think I need more super glue first. I love your design, I think I'll do something similar but maybe larger shelves.

These overhangs are amazing! How did you get them to stay?
I used sand and thin super glue. It takes a lot of time and patience. Small rock is better. I probably have close to 20 hours in those 2 peices of aquascape. Def put glove on the hand you are handling rock with. You will glue sand to your hand if you don't. It takes a lot of super glue. I found it most difficult to hold the aquadcape up as it got bigger. Make sure you do not focus on only the top side of the joint. The bottom and sides are actually way more important. I had issues with the rock breaking from the weight of my extensions before the glued joints would which is why I recommend smaller peices. Start with a very very strong base and handle it as much as possible from the base. If you run into problems or have questions feel free to pm me. Check out my build thread if you want for more pics. Was worth it! I couldn't be happier.
