As part of a package of aquarium parts that I bought used and now have up and running I have a Current SunPod lighting fixture. It has two 150W 14k Metal Halide HQI bulbs and 9 small withe and 9 small blue LEDs for lunar lighting. I currently have the halides on a 7 hour a day run. What I want to know is if I need to get an additional fixture for an actinic bulb or two to provide longer lighting time and a different spectrum for my corals?

You don't necessarily need one. There's hobbyists that run only MHs with no supplemental actinics (usually run 14,000K+ rated MH bulbs). The ones I've seen in person look nice and still grow corals well.
