Little white tubes in new tank?

I have a NUVO 10g that's been running for about 3 weeks. Just added two hermit crabs last week. Saw these little white tubes all over the sand. What are these things?

lol I had put one hermit in my 10g Nuvo and after the bottom started looking like that he went into the back chamber
