I bought this magnesium chloride bath salt from Amazon. It says it’s only one ingredient, magnesium chloride. No usp markings or anything, but it does say it’s from the Dead Sea if that makes a difference. Should I be ok with this? I’m assuming it would be better than de-icer as it’s for human use. @Randy Holmes-Farley

The only way that I’d currently say that a calcium chloride material is ok is if it is dowflake or a repackaged version of it, or is food or usp or other graded material.

Many other brands may be perfectly fine. I do not remember hearing of one that clearly wasn’t, but I just do not know for sure.
