He enjoys watching him/her! I never let them go in physical contact with each other. I am a big advocate in NOT messing with instincts. A cat is a predator and a bird is a prey.

The little birdie is basically cat-TV.


This was day 1, and the cat seems less interested now. I still will never let them touch each other.

This is his/her temporary cage until he/she gets older.

Would love to own birds but our current environment is not conducive for them. 3 dogs here. Two kittens. Had a red tail boa many moons ago. Had many chickens many moons ago too. Had many reef tanks also.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention that I have also owned llamas, goats, sheep, ducks, peacocks, rabbits and steer. It was all a lot of fun. Especially the pygmy goat kids.

I have 2- Blue & Gold Macaws, GreenWing Macaw, Harlequin Macaw, Hawkhead Parrot, Goffins and Umbrella Too, Red Lored Amazon and four Cockatiels. All are rescues except for the Too's.
I have a Rottweiler and a Pit Bull.
