I have a trio of lyretail anthias, then I found out about another kind of anthias, that is even more colorful. I have a 125 long, can I add another trio, or are they too mean? I forgot the species I will look them back up.

you may have some problems with the lyretails picking on the randalls but should be ok if there is males they may fight until a pecking order is established

The lyretail male is pretty large, but not agressive so far. If I introduced them at night, it might stop some of the initial fighting. The fins grow back quickly, so I think I will give it a shot.

I have a trio of Lyretails and Randall's along with a pair of Sunbursts, Squarebacks, Bartletts, Dispars and Purple Queens....the Lyretails are the more dominate species and the male lyretail gets the respect with very little bickering. The Randalls are more peaceful , but the Randall male is still beautiful and is keeping it's colors..here is an older pic of the male..he has more purple now..
