I know silicones that contain mold and mildew inhibitors are bad to use in the aquarium. What about outside of the aquarium?

I am building an aquarium stand and I wanted to seal up all the cracks in the sump area, both the floor and the bracing above to prevent water or humid air penetration leading to eventual rot.

I will also add that I am probably 1-2 months from getting the aquarium up and running.

I should also add that it’s paintable and I plan on adding a few coats of primer and likely an appliance epoxy paint on top of all this.
