Hi, yesterday my birdsnests glue some how gave out and it fell into my anemone and I also realized my montipora is discolored in certain spots.

Any idea what's going on with the montipora and any tips to make sure the birdsnest can recover?

Thanks, Dominic

What changed? NO3, PO4, Alk, Calc, Mg, etc.?
Every thing has been pretty stable, I keep up with water changes on a frequent schedule about %18 every couple weeks and I keep logs of all my water testing. Alk is around 10-11, calcium is around 440-460, mag is around 1300, phosphates are around 0.1, and nitrates at 0.

Mg is low at 1300 when your Alk is 10 to 11.

Take a water sample to a LFS that offers a spectrum of tests.

It'll validate your readings or send up a red flag to smthg

LFS usually have freshly dated tests as they test often for their own DT tanks, their service tanks at Drs offices, etc.... and test customers water coming in the frint door.

I.e. they go thru 3-4 test kits a year

This looks like low nutrients . 0 nitrates, and high alkalinity. Maybe lights are to bright with regards to nutrient levels. In my experience low nutrients combined with high light intensity = montipora death . Good luck turning it around.
