My girl wants me to get a clam or 2 so bad. But I keep lagging and saying my tank isn't mature enough yet. Which I agree with. But I myself would love to have a clam too

There is no magical time that a tank is so-called mature. If you have corals and they are doing well, then a clam should do well too. Like corals, they need natural saltwater parameters that are stable. For nutritional they need lots of light and some dissolved organics such as nitrates and phospates. Put then on some rock rubble so they can attach and be sure no other tank inhabitants bother them. Generally, they are hardy. We have some larger Squamosa and Deresa clams that are easy to keep.
