Hi,
New reefer here, my tank is around 2 months old and I guess I’m getting uglies after lights came on when I got my first soft coral additions.
I have a green disc mushroom which is in a low flow area on sand bed, it’s relatively happy but I’ve noticed it’s getting a build up of algae . I took a turkey blaster to it and as you can see on pic there is clearly a layer of algae which I’ve been having in my tank.
what should I do? Toothbrush scrub it? Any suggestions please?
Parameters are ok and stable in waterbox 15g peninsula
78f
1.024 salinity
Ph8.2
0 nitrite 0 ammonia
25 nitrate
0.05 phosphate
Calc/mag are ok
cuc 3 nassarius, 2 trochus.
many thanks for looking,
Graham
