I thought they needed intricate rockwork and sand to hide and burrow in during the day

He will have sand and they just need a cave. I left the other space open so he could walk in and out. They are super easy/hardy pets from what I heard…and someone had one for 17 years…and another for over a year in the same sized tank. This was me laying out the rock and I know this looks more open in the photo but it’s sheltered. I could always had more rock in the future and I’m not even sure when I’m getting him because the fish store doesn’t have any in at the moment. I did want to set up his little home though.
