in the process of setting up my new rimless 240 finishing the plumbing on her today and doing the rock scape. i will have pics up later im sure im forgetting stuff but i will edit as i go thanks for looking

tank is 240g Display (96"x 24"x 24" ) Drilled

55 g sump/fugium

40 g breeder coral grow out tank

75 g qt tank

EQUIPMENT main display

asm g4+ skimmer with a sedra 9000

2 mag 12 return pumps

emperor aquatic smart uv 40 watt

2 mp 60 powerheads

eshopp ato system

2 corallife 36 " metal halides with 2 65 watt pc lights ( had leds before but didnt like the leds im old school and prefer my halides over anything it grows alot better the leds imo)

GROW OUT TANK

1 corallife 36" metal halide with 2 65 watt pc lights

1 mp 40 powerhead

Deltec MCE 300 hob skimmer

QT TANK

300 watt heater

penguin 400 hob filter


now i need to stock it with some more sick corals

hey sorry everyone i havnt been updating lately i have set it all up and moved everything into it and was doing well for awhile and came home the other day to a huge leak the glass and silicone seperated and flooded my house thank you to the awesome tank builder that built it for me lol so i just drained the rest of it and siliconed it all myself and filled it up 2 days later so far so good but im in the process of building a wood brace for it but not sure if i need to brace it or not what do you guys think should i leave it rimless or brace it ??? i will update with pics this week

Oh man, that sucks, I'm sorry to hear that! Did the tank come with any type of warranty? Or did you build it, I can't remember. Hope you got everything cleaned up and didn't lose too much livestock.

nope no warranty i called the guy and told him what happened and he built a 2x4 brace for it and gave me money back and restocked my tank i lost about 1000 $ worth of fish and 2000$ worth of coral but he took care of it

yea i was pretty irritated with it it split 3 times in less then a month but he took care of it now have to finish my rockscaping and getting corals now i have to figure out what to do with a 500 i picked up to replace the 240 lol may keep it as a back up or possibly set it up in my shop lol

hahahaha thats what i was thinking but my wife said if i set up the 500 shes gonna drowned me in it lol once we finish building our new house im gonna set up the 500 in the master and the 240 in my sons room and build a 1500 for the living room its in the making but we have to finish the basement and start the framing
