Hey folks,
I have only had 2 AI Hydra 52s over my 120 mixed reef. Considering how old they are I've done pretty well with them, but it's time for some supplemental T5s. I've purchased the Aquatic Life T5/LED Hybrid (non dimmable). My question is acclimation. My current LED sched is 12 hours. How long can I start these T5s alongside the LEDs. I'm thinking an hour a day for the first week or so and move up from there?

Any thoughts on this are greatly appreciated. I'm no lighting expert and really want to do this right. :)

Sounds like a good start to me, it can’t hurt to start small!

People always say less is better and to acclimate corals slowly. I don't disagree with that.

Mine got 6 hours at 100% on day one. The hammers loved it. Still at 6 hours a day with 2 hrs of led in front and back.

I wouldn’t change your schedule, I would just run the led lights at about 25% lower intensity for two weeks then 15% for one week after that
