Will this work? I want my waterline at 12 inches, is this correct? Any advice is welcome, even mean ones haha.
the first baffle from the left is 12 inches with a space at the bottom, thena 12 inch baffle that sits on the bottom of the tank then the third baffle is 11 inches that sits on the bottom of the tank then another 11 inch baffle at the end with space at the bottom for the return.

I would use 2 pieces of glass on the baffle from the 7” section on the left going into the refugium to make a 1/4” gap in the middle of the glass for better water flow into the refugium. Than make the next baffle on the right going out of the refugium 1/4” taller than the first so water flows over and thru the middle on the first split baffle. Hope i explained that ok. If not I can try again

Ok you have a 7” section on the left of picture than the first piece of glass/ baffle that water goes over the top of an into the refugium, make that piece of glass out of 2 pieces one on top of the other with a 1/4 gap in the middle. Than the next glass baffle going out of the refugium make 1/4 inch taller than the upper piece of glass on the left baffle this will cause the water going into the refugium to go through the 1/4” gap between the lower and upper pieces and give you good flow thru the refugium section

Ah okay, so the goal is to add more flow into the fuge right? What if I cut holes into the baffle prior to the fuge? or would it be better to do the two pieces?

yes either would work. I think it’s easier to do with 2 pieces using 1/4” spacer in between untill silicone setup 24hr than remove spacer and you have 1/4” slit cross center of baffle
