new sump and need some micr algaes and advice on wich ones to use..

I live in the Chattanooga area and I just setup my sump in the last few weeks. I need some micro algaes and rock for my fuge section.

First:
-what algaes should I use?
-which ones should I stay away from?

Secoond:
-Does anyone have any overgrowth that they want to get rid of fro free to a fellow reefer?

The best macro algae to use, IMO is cheato. I have the least problems with it. I've had caulerpa freak out on me before. If you want to get a variety of macro's I might suggest reefcleaners.org they have some really neat stuff in stock.

I'm at the base of Signal Mountain now. I am working on the same thing right now. I'm about to make an order with reefcleaners.org myself. I am wanting some caulerpa mainly. I also need more Chaeto than I have. My chaeto gets eaten by copods faster than it grows.

Hey Jimmybling, justin frags has a store in his basement of his house that has better inventory than all the other stores in Chattanooga and he has a ton of Cheto and other algaes and the prices are way better that anywhere I have seen... He will match prices you find local or online without paying for shipping.

He will sell it in $5 incriments so you not locked into spending $30 if you dont want to. He gets home around 5:30 pm during the week
