I have been trying to find some good advice on what size of bulkheads I require for my upcoming custom Waterbox Aquarium. These are the specs;

1 1/16", 1.06 or 27mm holes. I am looking for a proper sized bulkhead (NPT, Black) so that I can order them and configure the plumbing (which will be more questions here) hopefully before the tank arrives.

I keep getting varied answers on what size I should get or on one online resource I triggered a debate (why?) on bulkhead sizes.

All I want is what size Bulkhead (I plan for schedule 40, since its only a 75GAL Aquarium) that I would need for the 5 holes.

Regards,
Gary

Most likely cause water box and redsea use metric plumbing.. is it a real water box tank? Or you just calling your aquarium “water box?” lol that would help..

It is a real Waterbox. From the real Waterbox Company.

I have seeing 1/2" appear most often when it comes to bulkhead size.

If water box sent you those specs for the holes they drilled, your stuck using 1/2” bulkheads and nothing you can do about it really besides trying to drill them bigger yourself with a template.

They are not for drains but for output. Also, this is a Freshwater system where flow is not all that critical but still important.

Well to answer your question yes it’s 1/2” bulkheads that fit 27mm holes.
