Monday we received our new clear view lid. Could not be happier with it as it suits our needs perfectly. We went with the Tsunami model, I ordered cut outs for the lights, one power cord on each end for a power head, and a feed door front and center. I think the value is pretty good, I don't think I could order parts and try to make my own with a better result. It is also not black plastic. It may not be perfectly clear but it will serve its purpose. They offer versions that might be higher quality that are essentially made from one piece, mine seems to be semi modular. However, I wanted to keep price as low as possible.
We have also added the rest of our fish, one Purple tang who will be the boss of the tank and our one big fish, a new baby clown and a long nose Hawk fish.
