NWRC Annual March Reef Tour; Pics

March 1st was excellent, got to spend the afternoon traveling and seeing 7 different tanks around the area. Every single one was unique and different. Got some of my highlight pictures done, so figured I would go ahead and post; I didn't take any full tank shots, nor do I know all the specifics on each of these tanks, so If I make a mistake, you have more pictures from the tour to add, or you have full tanks shots from the tour feel free to add them. I also didn't take any pictures of my own, so its not included. I'll go ahead and just put them up in the order we visited them. Enjoy everyone, and feel free to comment ~ I know the members have put a lot of work into their tanks and would appreciate hearing from others!

2nd Tank on the tour was a DYI 55 Gallon Reef System; don't know how else to describe this one. Ultimate in DIY systems, this tank is a beautiful example of being able to manufacture or put it together by yourself. Systems runs with an external overflow and a sump/fuge combo.

The 3rd tank on the tour was a 125gal Clam dominated Reef. The clam and it's hosting clownfish formed the eyecatching center piece of this system. The system runs with a sump/fuge and an auto topoff. Unfortunately, I didn't get any good full tank shots of this one.

The 4th tank was a 75gal SPS dominated reef. Newly reset after a major crash, the reef highlights a few surviving members of the original set-up. The system sits in a custom cabinet built by one of the members, and features a semi-auto drip and sump/fuge. Unfortunately, I also did not get a full tank shot of this one.

The 5th tank was a 120gal reef, zoa dominated tank. The multi colored open brain and full ricordia island via as center pieces for this reef. The system features a custom blue-pine/log stand built by me, a chiller, and sump/fuge.

The 6th tank was also a 75gal reef. This reef is dominated by a massive anemone and its hosting clowns, and its vibrant purple coralline algae. This system features a sump/fuge, and is transitioning a new light system. Unfortunately this system was under going maintenance when we visited, and I failed to get a picture of the anemone fast enough; by the time I got one, it had pulled back into the LR. I failed to get a full tank shot, and actually only took a few pictures of this one.

The 7th and final tank is a gorgeous 210gal SPS/Zoa dominated Reef. Words simply do not do justice to this tank; the amazing coralline and coral covered LR is the breath-taking tableau of this reef. The system features a semi-auto drip system, chiller, sump, and seperate fuge.

I am sure my pics won't compare, but as requested here goes in no particular order. First will be Scopus Tangs shot (when I started there were over 500 pics from 2 camera's - I suck but everynow and again I get lucky)

Very nice pics Randy, you and I apparently have a similar eye for composure you have several pics that look identical to the ones I took.

I'll try and get some posted today I had over 350 pics and have narrowed it down to 160 or so which is way too many to try and post on here so I will do a full tank shot and a few of the very best coral shots of each tank and put the rest on photobucket and you can access them from the link on my other thread.
