yes! although the heater will sit on the bottom of your tank/sump.

up to 1" clearance, so not sure if you can use keep the guards on or not.

I got mine in the mail yesterday. I'm really happy to get my heaters off of the suction cups. I like how the magnets are in a clear case so that you can see if rust ever develops. Only suggestion would be to put spacers between the magnets when shipping. The magnets are pretty strong and pulling them apart was a little difficult.
