What would you consider a decent hobbyist price per head of this:

I bought a single head for $80 like a few months ago and they recently went up in value. Gsc Corals in Reseda Ca has these labelled as Gsc Ambers Hammer and they have em at $300 per head. You should check out their website to get an idea.

That's crazy!

Still doesn't help me know what to price it at for sure though. Hobbyist vs Retail is usually different. Though, I appreciate you letting me know what you picked one up for, that helps for sure.

These are going up now too? Guess I got lucky and these two for a steal! Check out seller Jarad on here he was selling these and I know he has a big tree left. Looks the same but it was labeled a gold hammer.

50 a piece. The vendors names is Jerrad BTW I spelt it wrong above. Send him a PM and I bet he can get one one as he does ship. He also had some marbled wall hammers that where gold to rainbow very cool.

I've got the hammer, that was a photo of mine in the original post. I'm just trying to figure out how to price it as I have someone interested in purchasing a head or two. I appreciate your help!

I'm going with the guy who said $80. I saw it for sale at our last swap for $80 a head. Retail I guess would be higher. Not to turn this into a costs of retail thread, but obviously someone cutting a head off of a colony in their tank or a LFS trying to keep the lights on are two different scenarios.

Right, I think we're all aware hobbyist price vs retail/vendor price is not generally equal. I'm clearly just a hobbyist trying to figure out the value of something from one hobbyist to another. Thanks for the input! Seems like $80 is pretty general concensus from the input here and what I've seen poking around.

Coral trends and fads are fascinating!

50-100 is about right before any kind of shipping. I feel these are going to be the next overpriced LPS after torches. It seems like they are slowly increasing every week. Get em now cause they might be worth a mint later
