I don't have one, so no photos... sorry. Others will chime in for sure, but if I had to use LED today, this would be on my short list along with Atlantik V4. I like the wide panel and spread-out nature and they are a nice blend of features and price with US support.

Free bump looking for people who use them...

I know Adam at Battlecorals uses quite a few of them..............go to his forum on here to find some info.

"therman" uses them as well. I've talked to Tim and know he likes them a lot.

Right there are two coral farmers that focus on Sps and if V2s can grow and color acropora they can work for any coral.

V2s have the same diodes and ratios of colors as much pricier units and control over each color. No complicated software to screw things up as well. They would be one of my first choices as you're getting performance at a much lower cost. They also carry a 2 year warranty over 1 year for the hyped expensive brands.

Soooo..............same diodes, half the price, better overall coverage and less complicated to set up.

Photon v2 5" above the water with a plexi top. Lenses removed. 240 par where that acropora sits.

I run them on my tank. They grow and color my acropora well. I used the original photon on my first tank and upgraded to the V2 for my current tank which has SPS.

Hi everyone,
I am looking for an opinion and photos of your tanks under Photon v2 lamps

I'm a big fan of the Photon fixtures. They are well made and absolutely the best value for a fixture with 6 channels of led color control and sunrise/sunset capability. They also have easy access to the customer service with a sponsor forum here at R2R.

I have a mostly zoa and RFA tank. The main purpose I'm shooting for is corals that look good under white midday light, but FAR more importantly is that they fluoresce well under mostly blue light. The Photon can do this pretty well. But as you can see below, I also added an inexpensive fixture that has just blue and white leds and I run it as all blue from 1 hour after the Photon turns on until 1 hour before it turns off. So these images (I just took with my phone) are blue which doesn't make for a good photo. If you could see it in person, the colors that the corals and anemones fluoresce looks like they are neon lights or colored glass lit from behind by a metal halide bulb.

Here is one now that the lights are at full midday settings.
