I've got a tank culturing phytoplankton and I wanted to know, can I leave the light of 24/7. Would this harm the phytoplankton, or make it grow faster? Thank you in advance.

I prefer 16 hrs. One of my known do that 24 hrs and he say it speed up their growth. I think some darkness should be there so I prefer 16 hrs. It does grow faster but you must split the culture regularly.
