No corals or nems in tank yet, nothing would be bothered. Tank is otherwise ready for nem, params stable, cyano dead (no chemicals used), Coraline growing (an interesting deep blue verity), tank roughly 4 months old.

Sidenote: how do I tell if flow is good? I have proper PH and oxygenation, I dont seem to have any deadspots, but some scum forms in the corner of my tank still

treat an RFA like any other anemone. if the tank is 4mo old maybe waiting a bit more? could also probably forgo this if water is stable.

I understand the risks, and am aware that tank age plays a role. I believe my tank is ready due to the growth of coraline algae, the death of cyano and my rocks being colored in algae with minimal bare spots

i would say you're good to go then. i personally believe RFA's are more hardy, but i have no experience with any other type of anemone(maybe except borneman's anemone)

In my experience they are nothing like a bubble tip or something that needs fairly high par. My RFAs seem to prefer slightly shaded areas at the bottom of the tank.

IME RFAs need some flow but not too much and lower light in line with a softy tank. One issue is that they often wander especially at first while they are getting settled in. A way to mitigate this is to place them in PVC end cabs to begin with.
