Hi,
I have this pump sitting around and it needs to go.

It is a Little Giant 4-MDQ-SC. It is meant for high head pressure applications, such as pushing water upstairs or use in a high pressure protein skimmer. This pump will do 24’ of head and delivers 850gph. When you need a pressure rated pump this is a reliable quality model. When you look at head loss on a normal pump you will see that the gph on this is quite good for the size.

I haven’t used it in several years but it runs smooth and quiet. Has a little surface rust but could easily be cleaned up. Doesn’t have much actual use; maybe a couple years at most. It’s just been sitting in my garage.

It comes with a 1.5” union on the intake and a 1” double union ball valve on the output, as seen in the pic.

These are $260 new (or more). This one is used and needs to be cleaned up a bit but it’s a great deal on a pressure pump.

Hi! I am interested for sure. I am looking for an external pump I can use to build a water changing station. Ideally, the pump would be able to push water up one story from the basement to the first floor. Would this pump be a good fit? I am having a hard time searching and finding this exact pump online to double check the specs. Could you possibly post a link to this pump with the specs please?

Thanks for your help!

Thank you very much! Could I ask, what did you use this pump for, and do you think it’s a good fit for a water change station?

Thank you very much for your help!

It was originally used for a downdraft protein skimmer which required a pressure rated pump. I also used it for about 6 months as a return pump on a temporary tank. Other than that it's been sitting in my garage. This would definitely handle the 8-10' going from your basement.
