Hello,

I’d like to know why you don’t like pistol shrimp?

I bought KP rocks (from Florida Keys) and it gave me a lot of small pistol shrimps. I hear them snapping a lot and it’s so fun for me to try to look to see where it’s coming from. They haven’t caused me any discomfort and I actually get pleasure by hearing them.

So, I’d like to ask why pistol shrimp are your nemesis?

TIGER pistol shrimps more specifically, they are the only species which I have kept. I can't speak for other pistol shrimps. Almost every reef site and even most hobbyists label them as reef safe.
