I am preforming the aeration test on my tank water. At present the tank temp is78.5 an my outside air temp is 81. You warn us as follows---Be careful implementing this test if the outside aeration test results in a large temperature change (more than 5°C or 10°F), because such changes alone impact pH measurements----- my question is= are my temp differences ok to determine a acceptable reading? I say yes but would love to get confirmation.

Those temp issues are insignificant.

ok well here is the results
starting tank ph 8.04
tank temp 78
outside temp 81
inside temp 73

aeration of tumbler size (20oz) tank water sample, with outside air yielded a ph increase to 8.17

aeration of tumbler size (20oz) tank water sample, with inside air, yielded a ph increase to 8.12

clearly, the outside air was a better result, but if my inside air is dang close to outside air; why do I have a low ph overall in my tank if I'm running a recirculating co2 scrubber that pulls outside air into my skimmer? i thinkkkkkkkkkkk, I know, increase aeration in the tank water but can not quite put my finger on how. install an air pump an Force more air into the skimmer?my wife says because the fish are breathing, lol really? maybe?i have four fish in a 185g set up.
