Some background, I did a full in tank QT for a year to rid any diseases and waited a few months before adding any corals. It was a pain to do a tank where it was able to house an Achilles tang without any signs of ich but it is doable. I have a powder blue and a pair of hippos in there as additional sensitive fish. Was it worth it? Yes because living with disease is annoying to see your fish scratch.

I QTed everything wet that went into my tank.

Coral, CUC, fish, etc...

I lost of ton of coral in QT, but had a tank with tons of tangs.

Including an Achilles and Achilles Hybrid, never saw an ich spot :)
