Hello all,

Just bought a 300 gallon tank, and the bottom glass cracked while moving it :(

If I can get the replacement glass, does anyone know how to repair/replace the glass?

Take it to your local glass shop. Glass that thick requires more work to cut and to make the edges perfect.

Yep glass shops will cut the glass npbut they won't silicone it for me.

Im debating having a piece cut, lay over top inside of existing glass, silicone the crap out of it, water test on my patio for a few weeks.

Welcome to R2R! Lots and lots of good folks here with incredible experience. Yes, I've done the same type of repair. Removing all the old silicone is a chore for sure. Cleaning the frame and the glass surface with denatured alcohol so the surfaces are perfectly clean is a challenge. I seem to remember wearing new cotton gloves to keep finger oils off the surface. That's one of the keys to a good seal. Cheers!
