No thank god they have not started doing this yet!! These are real, they keep the color very nicely to from the few I have seen in captivity. I think the red might actually be harder to find than the blue.

its only 6"?!
ive been looking for a tiny colored carpet for ages but the smallest ive found thats either red blue purple or orange is about 12-18"
interested but gotta find the funds...

I suspect it might open up a bit more once it gets more comfortable in a tank...but it is about 6" around now
