Right now I’m getting constant algae on the glass. I cleaned the glass earlier and the algae is back immediately after a few hours. Any suggestions and inputs? I don’t have a skimmer or reactor running at the moment. I have no fish in the tank only shrimps and snails.

Most likely your lighting is too bright. Eventually your micro fauna will catch up and outcompete. A skimmer will absolutely help a ton.

Thanks for sharing I’ll get a skimmer for my tank.
One other thing that helps a lot is using those blue shop paper towels (clean of course) and wiping the glass inside the tank with them to remove the algae from the glass manually. Scratching it off only spreads it around to redeposit. If you dont have UV on your tank then it will just stay in the tank. especially without a skimmer.

I dose AB+ 40 ml daily for a 280g DT. No major algae issues, po4 and no3 stay in check; I do run a skimmer 24/7 and GFO in a reactor 24/7.
I have to clean my glass once every 3-4 days at most.

Let me jump in here and suggest adding a UV Sterilizer to your system. I've run a 24 watt Green Killing Machine which can be purchased for $70 and have never had an Algae issue. Keeping a UV running will go a long way to ensuring you dont get Ich, Blue Velvet and other parasitic diseases in your tank also. I have well over$1500 worth of Corals and fish in my system and swear by running a UV Sterilizer. Oh, and they cut down on Algae blooms in the water column as a bonus too.

I dose the recommended amount every day.

However, I only dose Reef Energy AB+ because my tank is running ULN. I'm hoping to move off of it once I get my NO3/PO4 heavy in/out better established.
