I have a mixed reef (with some acros) Red Sea Reefer-S 1000 with (4) MP60s, but they seem to be producing way too much flow even when turned down to 30% max (Reefcrest). The minimum of these pumps appear to be around 3,600 GPH.

Should I replace with (4 or 6) MP40s?

What would be the ideal placement/quantity for my tank?
