I have red pom pom gracilaria in my DT and would like to try a round of Reef Flux. Does anyone have experience with running reef flux in with their macroalgae?

I hear mixed things. I have used it without issue, where as others had their macroalgae die. Is it hair algae or bryopsis you are dealing with?

I ran Reef Flux to battle a massive ulva outbreak (I was previously growing ulva along with chaeto in my refugium). During the treatment period I took out my chaeto and placed it in a 5 gallon bucket outside. I covered with a transparent plastic bag to reduce evaporation and prevent debris from falling in. I did this even though I knew chaeto is mostly not affected by Reef Flux. I was battling dinos so needed to increase nutrients which meant taking my refugium offline for a few weeks.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
