Here you go. It’s looked better in the past.
Nice pictures, including Milton, that “nitrate factory.” You must have a friend feed occasionally, in my case, when I’m away feeding is cut in half to at least partially offset my reduced maintenance. I’m sure you’ll be back on your preferred track in no time.Little update: I was out of town for a few weeks over Thanksgiving and a few more weeks around Christmas and New Years. Nothing went drastically wrong with my tank, but the neglect is showing. My alk slowly crept up to nearly 10 and I think this had a pretty big negative impact. I’m slowly working it down to about 7.5. I have some browned out colonies and colors are off.
I did two 45 gallon water changes this weekend and started a deep clean by blowing all of the detritus from under my rocks. I rearranged a bunch of rock and coral. My nitrates are still > 30, so I’m going to focus on getting them down with water changes and making sure my skimmer is clean and bubbling properly.
I’m looking forward to being home for the foreseeable future, keeping a close eye on things, and getting things back on track.
Here’s a couple pics of my rock work last night when I was in the middle of a rock slide/rearranging session. I’ve got a little more work to do today. Then more water changes next weekend.
Boy, I’ll say the corals are looking beautiful.
