It is so simple, but I don’t want to screw it up.

I have 2.0 molar hydrochloric acid. I need to dilute it down to 0.1 molar?

How many grams/mL do I add to make 1L?

Use the dilution equation,
C1 * V1 = C2 * V2

Substituting in your numbers,
2M * X ml = 0.1M * 1000 ml
X ml = (0.1M * 1000 ml) / 2M
X = 50 ml

so 50 ml of your 2M HCl plus 950 ml of RODI. And remember, always add acid to water, not the other way around! :)
