Skimmer baseline noise

Specs? I used 3/4" foam from Walmart and wrapped the skimmer body with good old duct tape and cup. Cup come off if needed.
I will try to get pic's.....
You dont need anything fancy (but you could it you wanted......

Basically, make a foam cylinder (in blue) a little bigger then your body. It will be like a VERY loose sock

Is such foam water resistant? Cause m'y noise is just below the cup in the mixing Chamber around the water surface

I made a enclosure from acoustic foam and just covered my skimmer body and cup. Noise....90% less.
I tried it with recycled cotton made foam, and sound was indeed attenuated. I will check how it will resist to moisture, but I chose it because it seems to have one of the best noise attenuation, will be not toxic if few strands fall in water, and it was cheap.
