It appeared on dry rock just over a week ago.
Don't reduce in size after dark.
Never had an bubble in it.
Longest string was 10cm(4") long.
It seems they pop up on dark spots on the rock.
They don't spread, once snoot starts base remains the same size just length insreases.
Eventually new snoot spot shows up in random rock location, never on the sand.
Flow doen't matter, i hve couple snoots in ~2500l/h jet and some in very slow flow as in video.

Are those cheap USB "microscopes" good enough for ID? they claim 1000-1600 magnification.

Nitrates 20
PO4 0.16

Can’t open video but may be Dino especially if nitrate and phosphate are zero or close to
Any still pics under white lighting?

Cut back on feeding, keep filters and skimmer cup clean and add liquid bacteria to compete with this substance . Micro bacter 7 is a good source
Add a pouch of chemipure blue or elite which will lower these levels
Lastly reduce white light intensity or lights off altogether for 3-5 days

No skimmer here.
I'm setting up chateo reactor in my sumpless system to control nutrients. all parts should arrive in 2 days.
Already running 35% blue only, my softies(gorgonian and xenia open at 20%) for 7 hours.
I think reduced lights stopped it's growth, I left that one strand to see progress, it's day 3 of minimal light.

The coral will come back. You want to eliminate the problem first before they emit or contract any toxins

Snoot, assumed previously to be Dinos is back after 5 days of no sign of them and 2 days of light back to normal cycle.

I did buy a microscope.
I can't photograph them, stupid 3 camera phone can't decide which camera to use.

They re spherical motionless yellow brown cells just a bit smaller than nanochloropsis.
That would put them under 2 microns, Dinos supposedly are 15-40microns, cyano fits better with range 0.5-60 microns.

@vetteguy53081 Am I right? Is it cyano judging by the size? It traps bubbles of gas this time...
