Hi, I think this is my first post, anyways I have a zoanthid frag thats covered the plug and started growing on the rock " macro" here's what going on two polyps In from the rock there's a dark brown hard something growing where there were zoas polyps. About the size of two polyps. It's hard as calcium carbanat and in its center is putting out a substance like coral waste. I have looked through old threads and not found anything like it. Any ideas, tank is 7 months old, dosing fusion 2 part all 8.9, cal 450, ph when lights go out 8.3, mag test on the way so don't know. Thanks for any help. My gut says pop off frag and cut past it maybe 1 or 2 polyps. Alvin

OK, used a small pair of curved hemostates and broke it off. There was a round polyp like something between it and the rock. I didn't think to take a photo and could not find anything on line.
