Hi All,

I wanted to ask if the photo in the post is the start of corraline algae growth. I have a few of these spots in the tank. I seeded the tank with corraline algae a few weeks ago and used purple up from Caribsea as well.

The green spot isn't Corraline. But I see some other spots that could be.

It’s probably easier for you to see with the eye, live, than with the camera because that rock all looks purple and porous. Do you see anything on any black plastic parts?— that’s usually where it will show up first (like a powerhead).

Unfortunately I don’t think those are spots. I bought Moani rock that had the spots on it already. I figured the green was it because corraline generally starts off green then changes color

The picture color makes it hard to I.D. pink colonies, but the green outbreak is unlikely coraline.
