Along with form, there needs to be some function.
I do think it looks good but I don't see any hiding spots. At night fish needs places to feel comfortable. What kind of fish are you planning to hold in your new build? Are there currently enough hiding places for all of the fish?

Great point. Those will be added as I progress with this scape. The tank will be bare bottom and SPS dominate so coral placement was my initial focus. As far as fish.... I am planning an assortment of tangs, anthias, a pair of clowns, wrasses that do not need sand, pair of cross hatch triggers and more. Thank you all for the input

Exactly what I was thinking. Create a couple of caves. Some fish do like their hidy-holes!

That being said, what you've created is beautiful.

Most excellent! I am in the planning stage for my build. I can't wait until I get to aquascape. Back in the day, you just put a bunch of rock up the back glass and went with it.

DO YOU USE A PAR METER WHEN PLACING NEW CORAL IN YOUR TANK?

  • Yes! I think it's important for the longterm health/growth of my coral.

  • Yes, but I don't find that it is necessary all the time.

  • No. I don't measure PAR and my corals are still healthy/growing.
