I started working on the diaphragm. This is my first rendition. Nothing glued in place yet. I think it will work well for access and serviceability.

I’ve been toying with the idea of swapping out the gray primary and secondary overflow lines. But decided to keep them. I think not only do they look good with a contrasting colors but why fix it if it’s not broken.
I’ve been thinking a lot about wire management and how to keep it tucked away and clean as possible. Again. I saw this on another reefers build thread and this is what he was using. Pretty slick.
The diaphragm valve will drive you nuts. Difficult to get dialed in and stay consistent. Strongly recommend a gate valve.
I'd also recommend planning cable management in advance for maintenance or replacement of certain items. For example, you will want to periodically remove your return pump for cleaning, and Apex probes eventually need replacement. If cables are routed in a way that makes tracing a cable or removing a cable impossible, it will turn a small job into a big one.
yesAre you referring to the reefers overflow valve?
I will definitely rethink this.I never used mine. I replaced it with a gate valve from the start.
If you search the forums and google, you will encounter several threads with issues maintaining a consistent water level and noise. @pelphrey has a video showing how gunked up they become over time.
A gate valve will be set and forget.
I have to adjust mine at least once a week, the stock one is a pain. Highly recommend replacing it
