Strange growth at base of hammer

I noticed this a couple of nights ago while my hammer was sleeping. Looks almost like a she

ll of something but I wanted to make sure it's nothing harmful.

The yellow looks like sponge kind of something.

Didn't touch it. Noticed it the other day as I was leaving the house on vacation. It looks hard, almost like a she'll. I'll feel it tomorrow when I get home.

If your hammer opens up good and is not boddered by it just keep a eye on it.
Often you see stuff appear on the base of corals.
