T5 lighting on a 9” tall tank

Hello. I’m starting a new build and wanted to do T5 instead of LEDs. I was wondering if having a 2 bulb t5 fixture (2 blue plus bulbs) that would sit on top of the tank be too much light. I’m doing a softy/nem tank

Great for nems maybe too much for softy, depending on the type, but yes should be good!

In my personal experience I've found that softies acclimate quite easily to higher light. It's not that they have serious issues with high light, it that they are able to do OK with lower light which most lps and sps can't do.
