OP, I have had mag at 1500+ with no issues. I don't think that would be a problem but that one test at 1040 is probably test error.

1) get your own testers and do your own testing. If one test comes out not what you expect, simply do it over.

2) stop testing salanity daily. If you don't have an ATO, get one. You can also "mark" your sump level and keep it there(pump section). Just to it off daily.

3) bump your salanity to 1.025/1.026 as Troylee said.

little over three months. It was a local store.
This is where the confusion is, I thought he was answering how long he had the Frags and never saw where he said how old the tank was.
As per OP, the frag has been in there for only 4 days.
