The new Red Sea REEFER Protein Skimmers are now in production.

I would not recommend using glue as you may wish to take the skimmer apart to totally clean it at some point in time.

I did but only a couple drops I should be able to crack it loose if I have any reason to get into the bubble diffusor.

Hi guys, I finally got my website up and running to keep track of inventory in my frag tank (still working on adding all of them), however, in the meantime I have added the replacement quiet air chamber on the website. Have mailed quite a few of these, seems to noticeably reduce the sucking noise level. Link is below:

Anyway, I managed to get this under control to a degree. The key isn’t that a rapid air intake causing whistling, dome trial and error, its the actual noise from the pump making its way to the air chamber and amplifying the noise. So, I attached two soft airlines to the outside of the air chamber, made a big difference. The longer the lines, the better the noise cancellation. (...)

Thanks for this. I also attached two soft silicone pipes approx 1 meter (3 feets) long on my RSK600 and yes, significant improvement regarding overall sound reduction. Definilty this is a good improvement tip for RedSea skimmers.
