Joseph Louis Gay-Lussac and Louis Thenard announced the isolation of boron (B, element 5)

June 22, 1799
The first standards for the meter and kilogram (the first standards in the international system (SI) of units) were deposited in the National Archives of France, 1799.

June 23, 1775
Etienne-Louis Malus was born. He discovered double refraction (birefringence).

June 24, 1771
Eleuthère du Pont was born. He manufactured gunpowder and founded DuPont

First exhibition of photography (works of Hippolyte Bayard)

June 25, 1903
Marie Curie (née Manya Sklodowska) presented her doctoral thesis to Paris faculty of science. The thesis summarized the work for which she woud share the Nobel prize that same year.

William Thomson (Baron Kelvin of Largs) was born 1824. He developed the theory and practice of thermodynamics, including a formulation of the second law and the absolute temperature (Kelvin) scale (named after him)

Abraham Gesner obtained US patents 11,203, 11,204, and 11,205 on a process for obtaining kerosene by distillation.

I'm not presently working on anything, and I really don't know where breaks may come, except perhaps in the scientific understanding of what some of the more difficult to keep organisms require and how to provide that in an aquarium.
